UNCOMMON DREAM TEAM SUCCESS: DAY 12

Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew led a team of people to gain independence for Singapore in 1959 and he remained the prime minister of the country for 30 years. When he took over office, the country was underdeveloped and very poor without any natural resources to really on for nation building and development. In the midst of lack, obscurity and poverty, Mr. Lee’s major goals was to build a nation that had a strong national security, strong economy and efficient government policies, clean water, proper sanitation services and good public health care. With these goals in mind, Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew worked hard with other players on his dream team for 30 years to move a nation from abject poverty to the garden city of the world. The success story of Singapore has made it one of the economic power houses of the world and a global business playing grounds. As a thriving tiger economy, the success of the nation is envied by heads of states, diplomats, business leaders and investors from all over the world. A leader in any field of life with a dream team mentality where the players of the team play well can achieve and set a standard that will be worthy of emulation. Building a family, nation, church, business or any vision that will make impact is a job of a visionary who knows what he wants and how to select his dream team for results. You must now consider your life as a project that needs people to make it a success. So the people you need are the dream team that will come along with you as a force to compel you towards the goals ahead of you. The new founding Father of Singapore and his dream team did not live the country the way they meet in 1959. They planned and labored to give birth to a new nation and a new people of dignity and prominence. Regardless how bad a family, business or nation looks now, with a visionary and dream team at work nothing is impossible to achieve. Your life can turn around in the next few weeks or years if you consider the idea of bringing other team players on board to help you implement all the ideals you need to make your life a wonder story in your generation. The members of the dream team, represents the quality and best of all that you need to be balance and effective in your leadership for success. To choose your dream team, you must have the following in place.

1. 1.    Have a vision

Having a vision means, to have a mental picture of what you want to achieve. Your dream team must surely gather around a compelling vision that will move them to want to be effective players of the team for your success. The help and answers you require from your dream team should tie to your vision. You must know what you want to achieve like Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew did for Singapore. May be you want to:

• Discover how to have multiple income streams.
• Build quality and productive relationships.
• Learn how to be a better spouse that balances how to work for a living and having time for your spouse.
• Grow your business for more profits.
• Become spiritually strong and stable in the word of God.
• Learn how to be a better leader in nation building.

The purpose of gathering a dream team around a vision is to learn from every member to make success come faster with quality.

1. 2.    Chose the team members

This is the time to be thoughtful and strategic about the people you bring on the team. This is a crucial time of careful selection of individuals that can and will make positive contributions to what you are trying to achieve. This is not the time for friends and family, it is the time to be determined to build relationships that connects you with people that add value to your life and vision. This is your best life, so don’t be sympathetic about who is not on your team. Chose vision builders, and world changers. Chose players that will help increase your capacity and momentum to fulfill your destiny. Look out for those serious minded people that love you and desire to see you do well in those areas of your life where their contribution can make a huge difference for your life and destiny.

1. 3.    Define your score

You are calling for a dream team because you want all the best players you can lay hold on to play in your team to make scoring inevitable. The great objective of dream team players is to score goals that bring success to the team. Your win is the goals scored by teaming up with other people to play effectively for scoring of goals. Whatever you are trying to achieve, your dream team members must know what it means to score. Do you want to build houses, are you looking at getting married, do you want to have more customers for your business and are you looking forward to building infrastructure that will make people’s lives better in society. Let your team players be aware of your playing field and your goal post. Give them a compelling reason to be on your team and to score by the grace of God. This are some of the basic principle that Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and his team used to build the tiger economy of Singapore and it can work for anybody in any nation.

ACTION PLAN

1. List 5 major areas of your life that needs change for success and also list five groups of people in each area that can help you walk into your dream life.
2. Outline a solid vision for each area of your life with the knowledge of what you want to achieve and share with your dream team for success action.
3. Clearly define what it means to score or win to your dream team to help you operate on the same frequency.
4. Understand the role of every member on your dream team and thankfully remind them of your expectations.

1. O Lord, I acknowledge that without you, no one can help me. I therefore ask that you help me and be a helper to all the people that will be on my dreams team.
2. Lord Jesus Chris, I ask this day that you bless all the people you have strategically placed in my life on my dream team to enhance your purpose for my life.
